Pump Pre Filters

Helping to protect your water pump has never been easier.  Using Pump Pre filters, will help to extend the life of your pump.  Pump pre filters trap and collect a large variety of debris before it enters the pump.  Debris which could enter the propeller housing causing severe damage to the blades. When a water pump of any sort has damage to its propeller blades, the pump can no longer move the correct volume of water, Inspection of filters and pumps ensure that vegetation and marine life receive a clean and healthy pond.

There are three types of pump pre filters:

Mechanical media simply means that the medium work to strain out any debris, dirt or grime and leave the water cleaner and healthier. This often takes the form of a sponge or pad.

Biological media uses its surface area for bacterial colonies to spread. These helpful bacteria feed on the chemicals released by fish and plant waste, removing them from your pond water.

Chemical media uses an additional chemical such as carbon to neutralize odors, taints to the water and more.

We offer filter media for every type of pond filter, so whatever type you need, we are sure to have it. Using the right type of media means that the water clarity, health and appearance of your pond is always immaculate.
