Fish feeding is a vital part of pond keeping, we stock all the items needed to help maintain a healthy pond full of vibrant well cared for pond fish.
Couple things to keep in mind while feeding your fish:
Don’t over feed. Fish will eat enough food to satisfy themselves. Adding extra food will only cloud your water.
Be consistent. Everyone likes a schedule…including your fish. Try to feed them in one place so that they begin to associate and get to know you.
If your pond has a skimmer, pick an area to feed your fish that’s away from the draw of the current.
Know your seasons! Fish need different amounts of food in May than in September. Once water temperatures go below 50 degrees fish do not metabolize food properly, leading to health issues.
Keeping these simple guidelines in mind will only lead to happy and healthy fish!!
