PL-L UVC Bulbs

PL-L UVC Bulbs or Tubes are compatible with a wide range of pond equipment including clarifiers and work to rid the water of nuisance algae cells.

By using the ultra violet light to treat algae and pathogens in the water, cloudy or green water problems can be resolved. Algae cells are more easily removed by a pond filter and as such the water becomes cleaner and clearer.

The effective life of a replacement PL-L UVC Bulbs lamp is approx 8000 hours, after this point it will seem to be working but in fact the effectiveness of the lamp will be decreasing and needs to be changed. Changing a bulb twice annually will usually be good enough to maintain the filter light unit.
