Pondxpert EPDM Pond Liner 19′ 6” x 16′ 4”. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene Monomer) is a synthetic rubber with properties very similar to butyl rubber pond liners. It has a slightly reduced rubber content which helps to keep the price down to reasonable limits. Butyl rubber pond liners are known as the best in terms of desirability for pond builders. EPDM is a more modern fabric that takes the best elements of butyl liners to a new level. Additionally, thicker pond liners can leave pleats when installing into the corners of complex shapes. These pleats can retain water and get smelly over time.
